Sergio Plaja is an accomplished world class TaeKwon-Do competitor and champion of the Guatemala National and Central American in the light weight division.

 Since 1979, Sergio has dedicated himself to his art. He obtained his I Dan Black Belt at the age of 15 and at 17 years old, he was named to the Guatemala National Team. He obtained further recognition as bronze medallist light weight division in sparring at the1989 Pan American Championship. and Bronze medal in patterns at the 2004 World Cup Taekwon-Do Championships in Orlando Florida.

Since coming to Canada, Sergio Plaja continued his training under the supervision of Grand Master Ken Choung, VIII Dan in Kukiwon. In 1999, Sergio Plaja realized his dream, opening Millennium Taekwon-Do in the Town of Orangeville.

Mr. Plaja has been the Canadian national coach for the 2006 TaekwonDo Pan-Am Games in Guatemala and 2009 Taekwon-Do Pan-Am Games in Puerto Rico.

His passion for the art and dedication to teach has attracted increasing numbers of students and resulted in the opening of several locations in the area. Millennium Taekwon Do currently has over 25 black belt instructors headed by  Mr. Plaja.

Mrs .Patricia Plajais an accomplished TaeKwon-Do Instructor. She has been training in the art of Taekwon Do since she was 16 years old under the direction of the Guatemala Tae Kwon Do Federation Dojang in Guatemala City.In 1990, Patricia emigrated to Canada to join her husband, Mr. Sergio Plaja. In 1999, she and her husband opened Millennium Taekwon Do in the Town of Orangeville. Mrs Plaja is dedicated to the school, providing assistance in instruction and managing the office administration. In addition, she organized many activities around the Dojang.

Mrs.Plaja  participated at the 2006 Pan American Championsips in Guatemala City and brought a 2nd place in the woman division in sparring and 1st place in patterns . Mrs. Plaja proudly represented Canada and her Dojang.
